Doesn't fit across my standard sized double sinks.I keep moving it around because it's very versatile! right now it ended up on the stove-it straddles the back burners with lots of room to spare. I can rest my spatula (or whatever I'm using), my spices...while I'm cooking without having to reach my arms over the front burners to reach my spoon rest or whatever,at the back of the oven. I don't have counter space next to my oven so this shelf helps me out alot. I set hot plates & other dishes on it that are coming out of the microwave (which is installed above the stove). I have even used the surface to make sandwiches on, because it was the only spot available. Its sturdy and nice looking.
