After adjustments to bulb housings, lamp works well. Very bright, clear lighting. Had to turn each protecting bulb housing about 30 degrees to prevent their touching the lampshade. Otherwise, there would have been distracting shadows on the shade. Loosening the nuts required significant force. Minor quality problem: The telescoping part was closed so tightly for shipment that some of the brass coating was abraded off. All in all, however, the lamp is very satisfactory.
